KERSTYN SIMS, LE

Kerstyn began her career in dermatology in 2014 as a medical assistant, where she built a strong foundation in patient care across all areas of dermatology. Through dedication, attention to detail, and a passion for excellence, she advanced into the role of Assistant Office Manager, further developing her leadership skills.

Driven by her passion for skin health and beauty, Kerstyn pursued her esthetician license while working full time, allowing her to expand her skill set into advanced skincare and aesthetic treatments. She is thrilled to step into her new role at Refine Dermatology, where she now offers customized aesthetic services designed to enhance natural beauty, restore confidence, and promote radiant, healthy skin.

With her extensive dermatology background, Kerstyn brings a unique, results-driven approach to every treatment. She is committed to delivering high-quality, personalized care, combining medical knowledge with a refined aesthetic eye to create tailored treatment plans for each client. Her philosophy centers on helping individuals feel confident, refreshed, and truly beautiful in their own skin.

Originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, Kerstyn has also lived in Johnson City and Chattanooga before making Knoxville her home. Prior to joining Refine Dermatology, she worked alongside Dr. Salyards in Florida for four years. That valued experience led her to follow Dr. Salyards to Knoxville to help build and grow her new practice.

Outside of the office, Kerstyn enjoys spending time with her husband and their baby, along with close friends and family. She loves hiking, camping, painting, reading and discovering new places.
